Layering Summer Dress For Autumn

I got this summery dress in Zara last season and I just thought it too pretty to languish at the bottom of the wardrobe till the next summer. So I took it out and layered it with a chunky sweater and thick tights. (also a parka and a scarf, but for the purposes of picture taking I left those two out). I wore it for a shopping trip to American Apparel where I stocked up on a few basics. Afterwards I had a chestnut and mushroom soup to warm me up. It would have been a perfect little autumnal shopping trip if it wasn't for the fact that the soup had a touch of onions in it and my husband then proceeded to inform me that I smell of onions. Yeah, he's romantic like that.
I wore:
Sweater: Charlotte Ronson
Lace dress: Zara
Tights: Falke
Shoes: ASOS
Rings: Made

Feel free to marvel at my wrinkly, vampirically pale hand at the photo below which was supposed to showcase the stacking rings, but really it's just showcasing my ageing hand.

You never fail to make me laugh with your dialogue. I like the idea of the summer/winter combo. I have a white dress which I thought of doing something similar with but it's just a little too bulky for said purpose. Your hubs is just like mine - hates it when I have garlic .. he likes to inform me that I am wearing eau de garlic. And I repay the compliment by informing him when he is wearing eau de curry.

This dress will be perfect for all seasons !You're right to wear it now,
and the cable knit is perfect with the boots to conclude the Autumn outfit !
Have a nice week !

Odlična ideja kako letnju haljinu da nosim i na jesen a da nije ispod mantila ili tako nešto, sviđa mi se ovako, izgleda kao suknja :)

Lol your story sounds familiar!! I like the idea of taking advantage of every single item in my closet, and that's the reason why I like your outfit. You smart fashionista :-)
Do you have a close pic of the shoes in another post? They look so cool!!!

Your hands don't look all that old to me! Anyway, I wear a lot of summer things in the fall here because its just so hot, but I like to mix summer things with cold weather favorites year round. Love your summer dress worn with a sweater and tights. Very cute.

I quite like that layering idea. Instead of wearing jackets, I could wear a sweater over a dress!
