Denim Shorts

Anyone else finds it tricky to dress appropriately for both hot weather and your age? Especially when that age is way on the wrong side of 35?
Well, since it has been really swelteringly hot here, there was no way I was going to go out all covered up. These River Island denim shorts seemed like a good option. They're short enough to keep me cool, yet not scandalously so. I teamed them up with peasant blouse from Zara. Even though the blouse has sleeves, the material is super light and feels cool against skin so it's perfect for summer. I added Bertie wedges to give me some height and elongate my legs and my outfit was complete.
I wore:

    Very difficult when it's this hot currently. Nearly 30 degrees today where I am. I'm afraid I just let it all hang out today - I'm 43 - I'm hoping to get away as a mad old bat. You however look fashionable, quirky and cool. I like.
