Tartan Skirt

I've been trying to get this skirt on ASOS for weeks (it kept showing as out of stock) and I finally managed it a few days ago. Tartan always reminds me of cold, autumnal days for some reason so, in my eyes, it's a perfect material for just such a day. I paired this warm, fuzzy, woolen skirt with a jeans shirt, an old pale yellow Luella bag....and bright red lipstick (I'm finally moving on from the pink lipsticks...about time too).

    Your skirt looks so thick and soft ! Seeing it was coming back this autumn,
    i found an old skirt of mine hidden in my closet. After a few modifications,
    it will be ok to see the light again.

    to be honest I'm not the biggest fan of tartan but I have some tartan-like pieces in my wardrobe.
    a skirt and some dresses maybe :P anyway, it suits SO well with denim and your heels are superb too!

    I remember the days when I was so crazy about the Luella Giselle bag. Such a beautiful bag. I'm appalling at wearing prints and textures. Something I hope to remedy soon. The tartan skirt looks good with a simple chambray shirt. Love the bright red lipstick you're wearing.

    I adore the skirt - I just went to look at it on ASOS and saw the white version which I love and is more me! Very tempted except for the fact that I don't have that kind of edge for wearing things like that and I know it would be too long and too bulky for me. Drat and double drat because I really like this look. So want to give it a whirl though. You're just too cool.

    No honestly - there are some people who are that little bit funkier and cooler and you can put them in basic stuff but they have a look which pulls it all together. You're one of them and I'm not sucking up. And there are some people like me who try very hard - well okay - try a bit but have a bit of a tried and tested formula and stay in the safe zone incase we get laughed at. However, if I had a lovely creative job like yours and went out and met people, I think I would definitely have some fun dressing up. And I'm only 5ft 1.5" - the 1.5 is very important!
